How to Autostart CoreTemp with Admin Privileges?

Post by rsbrux »

This thread explains how to do this, but doesn't seem to work anymore. In fact, there is a prominent post at the beginning:
>>
!!! Attention !!!
This guide has been outdated with the release of the latest version
Download the latest version
<<
This led me to believe that the latest version (1.17.1) would be able to do this without anything more than checking "Start Core Temp with Windows" in the Settings dialog.
This did in fact create a scheduled task similar to the one described in the thread referenced above, but the task doesn't start because my regular login is a non-privileged account and the task was created from an admin account:
>>
Event ID: 332
Task Category: Launch condition not met, user not logged-on
<<
Core Temp cannot read CPU temp. unless run with admin privileges, but I would like it to monitor CPU temp. when I am logged into my regular working account.
How can I achieve this?

I'm not aware of a way of doing this automatically. Core Temp can only run under an account with admin privileges.
You can launch it manually and provide the admin user/password.
