(!) all the time but it's not overheating.

Post by Bobbywolf »

I have Coretemp 1.18.1 and it all appears to work well, but if I leave it running for a period of time, I always see the (!) symbol across all 4 cores. This most recent one, I was watching videos, and it shows my max temp was 86C, yet my current temps show the (!) symbol. The TJmax shows 105C. If I restart the program, they are gone again. But if I just let it run for a few hours and come back to it, it shows the overheat indication again.

Is this a bug? Or is something crazy going on when I am not at the computer that is actually heating it up that badly.

GMKtec G5 Mini PC N97 with Windows 11 Pro with 12GB DDR5 ram and 256GB SDD, if that matters at all.

Any thoughts?

Same issue here: Intel N200 (Alder Lake-N). Tj. Max is 105c but the Max. showing per core never goes above 85c. Yet the (!) still appears.

Is this a bug or does it indicate that my CPU cores regularly cross the danger point?

Thanks x 10k.

Mike
