Post by CoreTemp-User164 »

Hi,

I´ve tested Everest today and the Temperatures of CoreTemp are 10 Degree over the Temps from Everest, why is this so?

Everest:

1. CPU / 1. Kern 33 °C (91 °F)
1. CPU / 2. Kern 32 °C (90 °F)
1. CPU / 3. Kern 28 °C (82 °F)
1. CPU / 4. Kern 30 °C (86 °F)

CoreTemp:

1. Core: 42 °C
2. Core: 40 °C
3. Core: 38 °C
4. Core: 39 °C

What revision is your Q6600? Also what is the TjMax in Everest and in Core Temp?
My Q6600 is G0 revision and the TjMax is 100 C.

PS. Make sure you use the latest version of Everest. You could also try RealTemp and see what temperatures it reports.

The right ones are those that Core Temp reports (and RealTemp). I have exactly the same CPU and I've also OC'ed to 3GHz (333x9) so I can tell you that for sure.
